Our carefully selected team is personally recruited by us. We work alongside your support workers and complete regular supervisions, on the job training and performance audits to ensure you receive a person-centred service. We are aware of the important role staff play in your welfare and we therefore employ staff with the relevant mix of skills to meet your needs. We encourage our staff to expand their skill set, with specialist training in addition to mandatory training offered. We support our staff to work towards achieving NVQ or Diploma Levels 2 to 5 in Health and Social Care. We aim for a management approach which creates an open, positive, and inclusive atmosphere.
After contacting us, we can either visit you at home, or you can arrange to meet us at our office located in Bexhill. During this visit we complete a comprehensive assessment, enabling us to build a package of care with you to best suit your needs. Our main purpose is to provide domiciliary care to adults aged 65 and above, with a wide range of care needs. This can range from minimal support with cooking and cleaning, to higher care needs such as assistance with personal care, medication management and rehabilitation following a hospital stay.
A plan of your care is completed following assessment. This is written with you (and your family and friends if appropriate). Led by you, with your choices and preferences at the centre of the care you receive, your care plan aims to promote your independence and provide a comprehensive guide for our support workers to ensure they meet your needs. We regularly review your care plan, and you can change the details of this at any time, should you wish to do so.

Laura Witham
Director
We are Laura and Nicole Witham, sisters and Directors of Witham Community Care. We established Witham Community Care to provide a personable service that supports older people to remain living safely in their own homes. Our vision as a Domiciliary Care Provider has always been to have a small and friendly feel, which will offer our service users a more personal service than larger corporate providers. As well as owning the business we are both the Registered Managers and work closely with our staff, service users and family and friends to ensure that an excellent service is delivered every time.
Prior to establishing Witham Community Care we were the Registered Managers of Eridge House Rest Home in Bexhill, during this time we both gained our Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care. We have a wealth of experience and knowledge in managing a care service, and we have spent many happy years working at Eridge House Rest Home, with both of us securing our first ever job there as teenagers as Supper Assistant, to then go on to become Care Assistants, with Nicole later becoming the Accounts Manager before we both took on the role of Registered Managers. Alongside running Witham Community Care, we also remain working at Eridge House part time in the role of Directors.
We have lived in Bexhill all our lives and hope that our knowledge of the local area, and experience in working with the older community helps our service users to feel comfortable entrusting us with their care. In our spare time we enjoy going on long walks with our border collie puppies Myla and Mika who are also sisters. It really is a family affair!
“Working as the Deputy Manager for Witham Community Care is both a privilege and a joy. In this role, I have the opportunity to support a dedicated team who share the same passion for delivering compassionate, person-centred care. Being part of a family-run organisation means every decision is guided by genuine values, and I’m proud to help create an environment where both our staff and the people we care for feel respected, supported, and valued every single day. I’ve always worked in the care sector and have obtained various qualifications over the years. I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, which I am thoroughly enjoying. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Wife and taking our Labrador pup, Paris, on long walks!”
